Fundamentals of 3D Modelling - Two Rooms for Captain Cook
For the module "Fundamentals of 3D Modelling" in first year, we were tasked with creating two rooms for a 'historic figure' in Autodesk 3D Studio Max. I chose Captain James Cook, imagining some kind of bedroom and workroom on a ship, with 18th and 19th century furniture (thus not all historically accurate, as he died in 1779). I had never done 3D modelling prior to this, nor at real-world scale. Challenging but highly instructive and fun, regardless of difficulties in a lot of stages :) Happy with this first 3D project, and enthusiastic about learning more and improving! Every single model in these scenes were modelled, textured, and lit by me in 3DS Max ^^.

Here are some screenshots of the rooms and their props/models :) Textures were stretched at the time because UV Unwrapping was very unfamiliar, I'd like to revisit these models' UVs someday ^^ Every model was created at real-world scale, in cm, based on the values given by the references on antiques websites :).
