Inktober 2019
After skipping the challenge last year, I decided to try Inktober again after completing it back in 2017 and finding it both great for practicing drawing traditionally again, inking, and creating something based on a prompt list every day for a month. And I did manage to complete it this year again, drawing every day on A4 sheets of my sketchbook based on Jake Parker's official prompts list for 2019.
Definitely challenging (as intended) but also fun; varying levels of quality overall, but my focus this year was truly more on drawing every day & fighting my perfectionism to just 'get on with it' than anything else - and some other personal challenges depending on the day, e.g. adding some perspective, drawing foliage, more than 1 character in a scene, designing a new creature, etc. :) So, in the end, it's a personal success!
I posted each drawing on my Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and DeviantART pages throughout the month if you would like to see each caption (and commentary) for each of them! Several of them are related to my "Legends of Erayfen" personal story project, especially the "Chronicles of the Wind Rider" cycle :).
In any case, below is a grid with the 31 drawings done for the challenge (click on them to open the image):
The various materials used to create them can also be seen via their Instagram posts (swipe to see the photos of them next to the drawing), but overall most were done with Faber-Castel indian ink pens (from 0.1 to the BMSF set), Indian Ink + water + brushes, a white POSCA pen, and some were done using Graphik black pens ranging from 0.1 to 0.8. It was really fun to experiment with all that, be it trying new materials or using a main one for most a drawing :) !

Thanks for passing by!
